Bilingual Paralegal Position

Mitsui Company (Mitsui Horitsu Jimusho) is a small to medium sized corporate law firm based in Tokyo, offering services in all aspects of corporate law. The firm has a particularly strong focus in the area of banking and finance, and often advises on high-end cross border clients and work.

The firm is currently seeking a bilingual paralegal, fluent in both English and Japanese. The role of the successful candidate will include:

  • Reviewing English-written documents (both legal and non-legal);
  • Conducting research on laws and regulations of foreign jurisdictions;
  • drafting various documents such as agreements and correspondences; and
  • Japanese-to-English and English-to-Japanese translation.

Candidates must be native English speakers able to communicate in Japanese. Ideally, candidates possess foreign legal qualification, have law firm experience, and are interested in a long-term position (i.e. several years or more).
